1999 February - The development of Liberty Reserve escrow project was started by a team of high skilled professionals from the United States and Norway. Extensive research took place about shortfalls of available escrow solutions back then and the growing demands of merchants their customers from all over the world. Nevis corporation was formed to further explore the applicable laws and legal requirement for escrow services.
2000 October - Liberty Reserve corporation has been re-registered in the Republic of Panama, because of unclear escrow services provision policy. The first official beta version went into testing. Extensive research for escrow platform security and usability took place.
2002 July - The Liberty Reserve escrow system has been officially introduced to a close circle of individuals for further testing of web site and code. In order to provide complete spectrum of financial services the decision was reached to add basic payment system functionality, so that merchants and their customers not only use Liberty Reserve for escrow service but for all of their financial needs.
2002 September - The first interview with one of the system's initial architects was conducted by a popular then Planetgold on-line news websites.
2004 March - Liberty Reserve escrow/payment system was officially introduced to general public. First account registrations took place and the system experienced a rapid growth.

The sale came as a result of previous owners being unable to reach agreements for direction of the company. The only amicable solution was to sell it.
2006 June - Thoroughly tested, Liberty Reserve payment system still had some room for improvement that we - the current owners, are committed to fulfill and keep improving continuously.
2008 June - Liberty Reserve, greatly improved quickly becomes one of the major payment solutions around the globe while offering services and features that many of it's competitors lack.
2009 January - Liberty Reserve administration has pledged to double any donation received for relief efforts for the victims of a major earthquake. As a result, over eighty thousand dollars has been donated to federal and state run programs to aid those effected.
2009 February - Liberty Reserve, along with DirectTV and other large companies becomes one of the sponsors for the Merge project organized by Findr Interactive Media company to help beginning screenwriters get their projects to a big screen.
2009 June - Liberty Reserve becomes one of the proud sponsors of the "Night of the AdEaters", a twenty seven year old event, that is hosted for the first time in NYC.
2009 October - Liberty Reserve is sponsoring a Costa Rican marathon team that is scheduled to take place in Philadelphia, USA.
2010 January - Liberty Reserve, in cooperation with government officials, is preparing to launch a program for support of an orphanage home for underprivileged children in need.
